The Salahis are learning quickly the media attention they lusted after comes with a price.
And they can’t even pay it.
With investigations into the White House crashers’ mounting debt, some slighted parties have come out of the shadows demanding money, including A1A Home Improvement and Lawn Care Service. Tareq Salahi was left with little choice last Friday but to surrender his Patek, Philippe watch in court as payment for the $2,000 he owed to the lawn service.
Even more, the designer watch Salahi turned over did not appear to tick and was sent out for repairs, according to the Warren County (Va.) Report.
Although the watch appeared to be genuine, it is being evaluated for authenticity and appraised.
Too bad the Salahis’ authenticity can’t be appraised as easily as a watch.
