Following two days of rookie practices, the Ravens will have their nearly the entire roster on the field for the first time today.
The veterans reported to training camp Wednesday night.
The team will hold two practices at McDaniel College, with the first at 8:45 a.m. and the second at 2:45 p.m.
Every player on the roster is expected to be on the field in Westminster except linebacker Terrell Suggs and cornerback Samari Rolle.
Suggs is the only unexcused absence from training camp, but he cannot be punished or fined because he has yet to sign his $8.5 million contract as the team’s franchise player.
Rolle will miss practice because he’s grieving the loss of his father, Harry, who died of a heart attack last week and was buried on Monday.
Rookie running back Ray Rice said letting the first-year players work exclusively with the coaching staff before the veterans arrived has been a great benefit.
“It is great, because we’re getting individual attention,” Rice said. “So, when the vets do get here, I’m not sure they’ll have a step on us because we’ll be just as caught up as them.”
