On Monday, we reviewed the potential Republican vice presidential candidates who have written books, and judged their books’ popularity based on Amazon.com’s “Marketplace” feature, which lets users sell new and used books for whatever price they’ll fetch.
Today, we look at the Democratic veep hopefuls. At the top of the list, Tom Daschle (pictured) leads with his recent tome, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” That book currently goes for at least $11.79, although it should be noted that the former Senate majority leader’s “Like No Other Time” can be had for a mere penny.

Ditto New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. His “Leading by Example: How We Can Inspire an Energy and Security Revolution” goes for $9.81, yet his “Between Worlds: The Making of an American Life” sells for as little as $0.01.
In fact, it’ll take you a few bucks to get your hands on most of the Democratic contenders’ books. Evan Bayh’s “From Father to Son” was fetching $2.87 on Monday; Joe Biden’s “Promises to Keep” was listed at a minimum $5.97, Chris Dodd’s “Letters From Nuremberg” was selling for $4.78, Robert Rubin’s “In an Uncertain World” commanded at least $4.21, and Al Gore’s recent “The Assault on Reason”fetched $5.95.
As for Hillary Clinton, you could pick up the 10th anniversary edition of “It Takes a Village” for $3.95, but her biography, “Living History,” can be had for as little as $0.40.
