Towson?s volleyball team looks to win its sixth straight match Friday when it plays at George Mason.
The Tigers (16-5) are coming off a five-game win at defending Colonial Athletic Association champion Virginia Commonwealth Saturday. Towson sophomore Ally Perko had a career match in the win, as she finished with 22 kills and 11 digs. Junior setter Kimberly Snider had 53 assists and 15 digs in the win.
MORGAN STATE: Morgan State (11-6) travels to Orangeburg, S.C. for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference?s Round-Up tournament following a sweep Monday over Coppin State.
MEAC rookie of the week Ivanti Bush and Jeniqua Moran each had a match-high 11 kills, while Bush added two aces and six digs.
Brittany Arvin had 10 kills, Andrea McGant and Jasmine George had seven digs and Grace Lyon had 21 assists for Coppin (3-14), which has now lost 36 straight matches against Morgan State.
UMBC: The Retrievers (9-10) look to get back on the winning track Friday when they host America East Conference foe New Hampshire. This comes after UMBC lost a non-conference game Tuesday at Georgetown.
Freshman Ashley Oscars won her fifth straight America East rookie of the week award, while Stacey Carroll had 54 assists and 10 digs and Jennifer Wylie had 22 digs.
NAVY: The Midshipmen (8-11) prepare for an important road trip this weekend with matches at Patriot League foes Bucknell and Colgate following Tuesday?s non-conference win over Hampton.
Rachel Dougherty had 16 kills, with Nikki England and Megan Boyd chipping in nine and six kills, respectively, for Navy, which is currently tied for fifth place in the league with Colgate and one game behind Bucknell. Only the top four teams in the league advance to the postseason tournament.
MARYLAND: The Terps (8-8) travel south to take on Atlantic Coast Conference foes Duke (Thursday) and Wake Forest (Friday) following a loss to Clemson earlier this week. The loss dropped the Terps to 1-6 in the ACC. Jade Brown had 18 kills and Maggie Schmelzle had 15 digs in the loss.
GOUCHER: The Gophers (11-11) travel to Frederick to face Hood Thursday following a mixed week where they swept the College of Notre Dame and Rutgers-Camden at a tri-match at home before losing at Salisbury on Tuesday.
