There have been reports from credible sources for years that Pakistani intelligence has used terrorist groups to conduct war-by-proxy against traditional rival India. With the latest horrific attacks throughout Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), evidence continues to accumulate that may add new substance to such reports.
Thomas Joscelyn and Bill Roggio have details in The Weekly Standard on the main group, India Mujhadeen, which has taken “credit” for the latest attacks, which thus far have unofficially killed more than 80 people, many of whom appear to be Americans and Brits. The terrorists are singling out targets in Mumbai that serve Westerners, including luxury hotels, restaurants and tourist sites.
