Fox Sports Radio Makes Huge Cuts – Rolls Out New Line-Up

Fox makes big moves

There were some big changes made today by Fox Sports Radio. Locally The First Team on Fox with Steve Czaban has been changed a bit. The new show is now known as the Steve Czaban Show and it is heard nationally weekday mornings from 6am to 9pm.

The Clear Channel budget cuts caused the network to do away with a number of popular broadcasters. Ben Maller, Craig Shemon, Andrew Siciliano, and James Washington are among the big names that have been let go as part of over 1800 jobs lost nationwide by Clear Channel. Some of their local stations were also hit hard by the firings.

Stations in Los Angeles, Orlando and San Diego were part of a number of local sports talk stations that have dropped some hometown broadcasters.

Washington radio fans could have seen some big time cuts if Sports Talk 980AM was still a Clear Channel station but now they are part of Red Zebra and thus avoided major talent cut backs.

Here is the new FSR line-up. Heard on 1370AM Baltimore and Sirius-XM 142.
