Michael Vick set to appear on CBS 60 Minutes on Sunday

Friend of the column James Brown has landed the first interview with former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick for this Sunday’s CBS 60 Minutes. Airtime will be 7p.m. or just after the PGA Championships on CBS.
Brown who is the anchor for the NFL Today On CBS filmed the interview today in Virginia.
60 MINUTES is Vick’s first interview since he admitted two years ago to running a dog fighting ring – a crime that landed him in federal prison for 18 months and got him suspended from the NFL.
Vick was conditionally re-instated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on July 27th, a week after he was released from federal custody. If a team is interested in him, Vick could be playing again in a regular league game by the sixth week of the NFL season.
The segment will also include interviews with Wayne Pacelle, head of the Humane Society of the U.S., the country’s largest organization dedicated to the protection of animals.   Tony Dungy, the former NFL coach who will be a special advisor to Vick, will also be interviewed.
There is also interest in the former Virginia Tech star from the United Football League who will be starting their first ever season this fall.

Kudos to Brown and the gang at CBS for getting the big interview.
