Monday I was on the radio in Montreal after the USA beat team Canada 5-3 and the callers were angry they wanted to make changes at almost every position.
But the fans while angry still think gold is not out of the question. But they must win and they are back on the ice tonight against Germany. The games are airing on MSNBC and yes I get that these are still the preliminaries but no HD and airing on MSNBC?
Can’t we do at least USA network?
This might just be one of the best lines from Olympics thus far: “Remember when the NBA used to use the slogan, ‘We love this game.’ That is puppy love. That is a first date next to the way puckheads feel about hockey.”- NBC’s Al Michaels on hockey fans
Men’s hockey continues to heat up as the elimination rounds begin on USA Network and CNBC. After wins on Sunday, Team USA and Team Russia advanced to the quarterfinal round, leaving eight teams to battle it out to keep their medal hopes alive. Live on USA Network, Switzerland takes on Belarus. CNBC will carry the remaining three elimination round games live with Canada taking on Germany, Czech Republic going up against Latvia, and Slovakia against Norway.
