Nick Markakis, the Orioles’ right fielder, went 10-5 to pull out a victory over Bimbo, who went 8-7. Bimbo wasn’t sad, however, as she was happy an Oriole finally experienced a big win after weeks mostly filled with futility.

Bimbo, who is 15-16 this season, looks to score her first victory of the season when she faces Orioles center fielder Adam Jones and Marvin “Doc” Cheatham, who is the president of the Baltimore City NAACP.

Every banana helps Bimbo

Bimbo would love to hear from you. If you would like to send a letter or a care package — she loves papayas, apples, grapes, grilled cheese sandwiches and french fries and warm, snugly blankets. Please send all items to Colleen Layton-Robbins at Frisky’s Wildlife & Primate Sanctuary, 10790 Old Frederick Road, Woodstock, MD 21163.

Donate

It takes $300,000 a year to support Bimbo and her friends. If you would like to donate to Frisky’s Wildlife & Primate Sanctuary, a non-profit organization that provides refuge for needy and displaced animals, please go to www.friskys.org.

Oogie’s Corner

Oogie, Bimbo’s best friend, is lending a hand this season. Oogie will pick each Ravens game in hopes of inspiring the purple and black. Oogie still believes in the Ravens, as she picked Baltimore to defeat Cleveland.
