Cristman comes home to D.C.; well, sort of

So, D.C. United stocked its forward cabinet for the second time this year, grabbing Adam Cristman from Kansas City in exchange for the rights to one of United’s international roster spots for the next two seasons.

Cristman hails from Glen Allen, Va., and he played college ball at Virginia before surpassing expectations to challenge for MLS rookie of the year in 2007 with New England after being a fourth-round draft pick. The numbers: 2007 (28 apps, 14 starts, 4 goals, 4 assists), 2008 (18 apps, 16 starts, 6 goals, 1 assist), 2009 (5! apps, 3! starts due to a foot injury) in Kansas City under Curt Onalfo.

You want a target forward? You got one with Cristman, who plays bigger than simply 6-foot and 180 pounds.
