Ravens game could cause Redskins fans problems

Sunday’s Redskins – Browns game set for a 4:15pm kick off on WUSA9 and WJZ13 could be delayed. The reason is because the Ravens-Dolphins broadcast also seen on the local CBS outlets starts at 1pm.

The Redskins game this week is a CBS game because the Browns are an NFC team and so CBS has the rights to the game.

Should the Ravens-Dolphins game go over then Redskins Nation would miss the kick off of their broadcast.

The Beltway blogs are going crazy and Redskins fans are hoping for a quick Ravens win or in some cases a loss.

The NFL rules prohibit a local market game from being preempted and so channel’s 9 and 13 must show the Baltimore game till the end.

Just so Redskins fans aren’t too upset. Thus far this season only about 12% of the games the games starting at 1pm have gone past the 4:15pm second game starting time.

Either way it should be a boost for both Redskins and Ravens radio.

CSN pregame is at 1pm and the Redskins Post game will follow. MASN will have Ravens Xtra right after the game.
