Where are they now?: Allie Buote, Lacrosse

When making her decision on where to attend college, Buote had to decide between Notre Dame, North Carolina and the Terps.

Considering both of herparents and her sister, Bonnie, are College Park alums, the choice was simple.

Since that decision, Buote (pronounced BEE-watt) has established herself in the crease for the Terrapins.

In the high-scoring contest at No. 2 Johns Hopkins on Sunday, Buote made eight saves to lift the Terps to a 14-11 victory.

This season, the 5-feet-6 goalie has started in all 14 games and sports a 10-4 mark with a .482 save percentage.

As a freshman, she logged 64 minutes of playing time in eight games. She allowed an average of 9.39 goals per game.

Buote and the Terps travel to North Carolina to battle the Tar Heels at 7 p.m. Saturday.
