It takes an iVillage

Some of D.C.’s most powerful women gathered Wednesday night at the palatial Wesley Heights home of Democratic Party financiers Ron and Beth Dozoretz. No, not for a Hillary Clinton fundraiser, but for a serious discussion on veterans’ families sponsored by iVillage.

Among the 60 or so people in the well-appointed basement: former HHS Secretary Donna Shalala, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, iVillage’s Debbie Fine, Debbie Dingell, Sheila Casey, Corporation for Public Broadcasting CEO Patricia Harrison and Rhoda Glickman. There were even a few men on hand: former LBJ aide Lloyd Hand, David Gergen and AEI’s Norm Ornstein.
