Five things we wonder

1. Who is the best Lakers player of all-time? Now that Kobe Bryant surpassed Jerry West as the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, where does that leave the hierarchy when it comes to Lakers greatness? Bryant is third, at best, on this list behind Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

2. What is it like to be Bryce Harper? More than 100 scouts attended his first baseball game for the College of Southern Nevada. And there will be endless updates on his progress (did we mention the Nationals have the first pick again?). He graduated from high school two years early so he could enter the draft this year. And be the first pick.

3. Did Gilbert Arenas actually write his op-ed piece in The Washington Post on Tuesday? Um, we have our suspicions. Until we hear — and read — words that we know are his, we’ll view this a bit differently. You can’t trot him out in front of reporters now, but we’re looking forward to hearing his words and not that of handlers.

4. Will Clinton Portis change his ways? He told ESPN on Tuesday that he is eager to prove people wrong. Well, start by proving them wrong in the offseason by working out harder. Teammates would be appreciative. If he does, then Portis still can be useful.

5. Has Kurt Warner changed his mind yet? Oh, wait, wrong quarterback.
