Jack Valenti, the legendary lobbyist of the Motion Picture Association of America, died in late April at age 85 before he could see the publication of his memoir, “This Time, This Place.”
But Tuesday night at MPAA headquarters, Valenti’s widow Mary Margaret Valenti, along with his successor, Dan Glickman, will host a posthumous book party.
Also expected to attend: a who’s who of Washington lobbyists and power brokers, including the RIAA’s Mitch Bainwol, AT&T’s Lyndon Boozer, former LBJ aide Lloyd Hand, Hilary Rosen of Berman Rosen Global Strategies and Democratic consultant Tony Podesta.
