Benson, a forward-center, had 10 points and two rebounds in the Hawks’ 101-99 preseason loss at San Antonio on Wednesday night. Muhammad had one point and two assists.
Benson, the Hawks’ second-round pick from Oakland University in 2011, was released last season and signed a 10-day contract with Golden State. He played in three games with the Warriors last season before re-signing with Atlanta as a free agent.
Muhammad, a forward from Georgia Tech, signed with the Hawks as a free agent on Oct. 1.
