He may have boycotted the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, but we hear that New York Times columnist Frank Rich will be in town for his 40th high school reunion on June 23 at the Potomac home of classmate Lisa Wasserman.

Rich is a member of Woodrow Wilson High School’s class of 1967, a group that also includes Jeremy Pikser, the Academy Award-nominated co-writer of “Bulworth.”

Rich is attending with his wife, Alex Witchel, also a writer for The New York Times. Rich got his start in journalism as editor of the school newspaper, The Beacon.

The affair will be a bit smaller, however, than Springbrook High’s alumni event on June 29, where comedian Lewis Black, the most famous alumnus of the Silver Spring school, will perform there before 1,100 alumni. The school’s “Trident Years” — the first graduating classes of 1964, ’65 and ’66 — received first dibs on purchasing the $45 show tickets, and they will fill several of the first rows of seats. Black graduated in 1966.
