The NFL on FOX’s journey to SUPER BOWL XLV begins Sunday, Sept. 12 with doubleheader coverage of six games—each presented in true HD. The action starts at 1:00 PM ET at New Meadowlands Stadium as Eli Manning and the Giants look to open up their new home on a positive note as they host the Panthers. In Chicago, strong-armed QBs match-up when Matthew Stafford and the Lions visit Jay Cutler and the Bears. With Ben Roethlisberger suspended for four games, Dennis Dixon leads the Steelers in their home opener against Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The second half of FOX Sports’ doubleheader takes us to Philadelphia, where Aaron Rodgers and the high-scoring Packers take on the Eagles and new starting QB Kevin Kolb. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver call all the action live from the Linc. A couple of NFC West matchups round out the coverage as the Seahawks host the 49ers and the Cardinals visit No. 1 pick Sam Bradford and the Rams.

AIKMAN: WINNING ANOTHER PLAYOFF GAME WON’T SATISFY ROMO – “The next step obviously is winning a championship and I think until you do that everyone is wondering when you’re going to take the next step. Winning one playoff game or multiple playoff games won’t satisfy Tony. However, it’s the first offseason this organization has had in a long time to where they can look back on a season and although not satisfied, say ‘we did some good things.’ At least you have somewhat of a good taste in your mouth and you’re not being called losers or underachievers.”
PEREIRA MAKES FOX NFL SUNDAY DEBUT – Already in position to boast the world’s best NFL game broadcasts, studio analysis and Internet coverage, FOX Sports now goes deep to add the sharpest mind available on NFL officiating.
