Fourth quarter review: at Cowboys

Final: Cowboys 7, Redskins 6

1st Qtr | 2nd Qtr | 3rd Qtr | 4th Qtr

» Romo still can’t find any rhythm with his passes. He missed another tight end who was open on the right side. Skipped the ball to him.

» Great job by Andre Carter getting inside tackle Doug Free to make a backside tackle on Marion Barber on third and 1. Barber had room to run over the left side, too.

» Funny; London Fletcher finally gets a pick and it comes on fourth down when they would have gotten the ball back anyway. Still, a good pick by Fletcher. And I would have picked it, too. On a short pass over the middle, there’s always the chance he could get a decent return. So I would not have knocked it down in that situation. And the Redskins only lost a few yards in the exchange.

» Still can’t believe Dallas can’t pressure Campbell more given the Redskins’ line. But Campbell is doing a good job getting rid of the ball; the routes called to run are a little shorter so that helps to. And the fact that Washington has run well has aided in this as well.

» Campbell has been terrific passing on third downs. Nice job moving the Redskins into field position midway through the fourth.

» The Redskins are using more I-formation in this half, with Mike Sellers motioning from an H-back spot to fullback.

» Naturally; the guy who had been perfect coming in – Shaun Suisham – is the guy who will feel the brunt of this loss with two missed field goals.

» On the decisive drive, Washington could not pressure Romo enough and he finally started hitting receivers.

» On Romo’s touchdown throw to Patrick Crayton, he did a nice job eluding pressure from Brian Orakpo and buying time. Then Crayton got paired against London Fletcher and when Romo is on the move, and the receiver is having to move, that’s a mismatch.

» Jason Campbell should not have thrown that last pass that led to a tipped interception. Because of pressure allowed by Levi Jones, Campbell had to slide to his left. The pass was not really available. But it’s hard to fault him considering how tough he played most of the game.
