Hustler publisher Larry Flynt just can’t leave Sen. David Vitter alone. Last year, he helped expose the Louisiana Republican’s associations with the alleged call-girl ring of “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey, as well as a New Orleans prostitution business. Now Flynt is going after Vitter in his own backyard: Last Saturday in New Orleans, the porn magnate sent exotic dancers from his local Hustler Club to “greet” Vitter supporters as they arrived at a fundraiser.
According to the invite, guests at Vitter’s “Leavin’ Em Behind Second Line” event at the Aquarium of the Americas were able to mix and mingle with top state Republicans, including Gov. Bobby Jindal, Treasurer John Kennedy and House Speaker Jim Tucker. In fact, attendees paid $500 per couple, or $2,500 for the VIP/photo reception, for the privilege.
What they didn’t count on was seeing the four buxom young women, clad in Hustler t-shirts, standing at the event’s entrance.
“They were trying to make a scene and they were escorted out,” said a source with knowledge of the event.
When asked about the spectacle, Vitter spokesman Joel DiGrado would only say,
“At the event there was great support and fellowship from hundreds of friends and supporters including Gov. Jindal and other statewide leaders. It was also a tremendous fundraising success, raising $429,000.”
Neither the general manager of the New Orleans Hustler Club, nor staff at Hustler’s executive offices in Los Angeles, responded to requests for comment.
