My new blog is dedicated to all the loyal DC Examiner readers I’ve been privileged to meet (both in person and online) during the past two and a half years. The best kept secret in Washington is that Examiner readers are some of the most educated, intelligent and thoughtful media consumers in this exceedingly media-saturated town. Their extraordinary passion and erudition makes my job on the Opinion page challenging, but immensely rewarding as well. This blog will be used to post information, comments, suggestions, ideas and anything else that pops up. I hope you’ll be a regular visitor and contributor. I picked the name “Sharp Sticks” to remind me of the power of the written (and typed) word, and that speaking truth to power is still one of the noblest professions around.
