One guy could have made this sales pitch work. And he did. Well, Chris Cooley at least got some attention for the Redskins latest promotion. This time, they’re selling off pieces of the old FedEx scoreboard for $5 apiece.
Money raised for a goodbye party for Albert Haynesworth, perhaps?

“Instead of throwing it away, of course we want to make money,” Cooley said.
He’s joking. It’s for the Washington Redskins charitable foundation; the pieces will be sold at the April 24 draft party at FedEx Field. The Redskins new scoreboard will be 30 feet high and 100 feet wide.
“So when I score touchdowns, I can turn and check it out,” Cooley said.
Cooley knows where his part of the old scoreboard will go: “On my mantle in my living room. I want it to be a more formal piece. I’m thinking walnut or Brazilian cherry. Maybe Dan [Snyder] will autograph it for me. It’ll complete the room.”
Yes, he’s joking again. And, yes, he called him Dan.
