As it premiered its first production of “Hamlet” in five years Monday night, the Shakespeare Theatre Company hosted its own all-star cast of VIP supporters and benefactors.

Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C.; Council Members Phil Mendelson, Tommy Wells andDavid Catania; AOL founder Jim Kimsey; and Chris Matthews were among those spotted at an opening night dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building and the performance of one of the Bard’s greatest plays.
