Looks like it’s not just the American electorate that’s ignoring Ralph Nader … the White House is, too.
Nader, who is running for president as the Green Party’s candidate, held a rally outside the White House last week to call for the resignation of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. But these are tough days for Nader, whose image has been bruised following the 2000 election, when many blamed him for siphoning votes away from Democratic nominee Al Gore: Outside the White House, only 15 people bothered to show up to support Nader in his efforts that day.

“The White House never answers my letters,” Nader lamented. Still, he encouraged his army of none not to be discouraged by politics. “Politics isnot a dirty word,” said Nader, adding, “If you are not into politics, politics is going to be into you in a very disagreeing manner.”
