After premiere, women senators celebrate in Silver Spring

Democratic Sens. Barbara Boxer, Blanche Lincoln, Mary Landrieu and Maria Cantwell, Boxer’s daughter Nicole and Lincoln’s sister Mary Lambert were among those hanging out at Ceviche in Silver Spring until the late hours (well, late for a senator anyway) on Thursday night.

The occasion was the just-concluded world premiere of “14 Women” at the AFI SILVERDOCS documentary film festival

Lambert directed and Nicole Boxer co-produced the look inside the daily lives of the Senate’s female members. It’s named for the number of women in the chamber in 2006, although there are now 16.
