The Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce is throwing an event tonight dubbed the Men’s Style Lounge, and at-large Councilman Kwame Brown is the guest of honor — even if he doesn’t know it.
Brown introduced the group’s bill to establish a city Commission on Fashion Arts and Events.

The invite for the event at the Park at 14th — featuring models wearing men’s fashions from local vendors — notes that “contributions are welcome on site for the Kwame Brown re-election 2008.”
GWFCC President Christine Brooks-Cropper said they wanted Brown to “meet the fashion community.”
He may have to do it quickly, however. “Tomorrow is the primary, so I’ll be at the polling places most of the night,” he told us. “I think this event would have taken place whether I showed up or not.”
