FSN Bay area now part of Comcast SportsNet

The group at Comcast SportsNet has added the San FranciscoBay area to their growing regional sports empire.

We are aware of the CSN here in Washington where the Bethesda based network has been airing the Wizards, Caps, DC United, Redskins and a complete slate of college sports.

CSN of course has had a strong presence throughout the mid Atlantic region with and the hometown CSN Philadelphia. A bout four years ago they went west and started CSN Chicago and last year along with the Mets, and Time Warner Cable they were partners in SNY the Mets regional cable network.

They recently added FSN Boston the home of the Celtics to their family of cable networks and now they have picked up FSNBay area another crown jewel.

The folks in the Bay area can look forward to some of the best sports news programs on sports TV. SportNite in Washington is the gold standard for regional sports news and their pre and post game shows for the Wizards, Caps and DC United are very comprehensive and entertaining.

So Bay area fans you can look forward to some great additions over the coming weeks and months under the CSN banner.
