The Orioles game with Toronto was suspended in the top of the sixth inning due to the torrential downpour that hit the Baltimore area around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The game will resume at 12:05 p.m. today, at the point in which it left off ? with the Blue Jays ahead, 2-1, with Scott Rolen batting with a 1-0 count, two outs and Lyle Overbay on third base.
The series finale, originally scheduled for 12:35, will begin 20 minutes after the completion of the suspended game.
Right-hander Daniel Cabrera will start the originally-scheduled game, and Orioles manager Dave Trembley would not tip his cap as to how he?d use his bullpen to close out the suspended game. Jeremy Guthrie, who pitched the Orioles into the sixth Wednesday, is unlikely to return when the game resumes today.
Orioles will allow all fans with tickets for Wednesday?s game to exchange them for a lower or upper reserve ticket to any home game in September. Fans with tickets for today?s 12:35 game may attend the completion of the suspended game.
The Orioles will not wear their throw-back jerseys ? part of Wednesday?s 25th anniversary celebration of the 1983 World Series ? today.
