PHILADELPHIA (AP) — One big man after another walked through the Philadelphia 76ers’ practice facility in recent weeks and showed their stuff.
On Thursday night, one of those guys will come back to stay.
The Sixers, who bowed of the postseason in the second round, need a power forward or center to clog the middle. They should find one with the 15th pick in the NBA draft.
“I think this is a good time to be 10 to 20,” team president Rod Thorn said. “There are some good players there that can turn out to be as good as some of the guys taken a little higher.”
Percy Jones III, Terrence Jones, Andrew Nicholson, Arnett Moultrie, John Henson, Tyler Zeller, Marquis Teague, Hollis Thompson, Moe Harkless, Quincy Miller and Mike Scott are just some of the players that worked out in Philadelphia over the past month.
