MAPGA instructors will take part in Tech’s Spring Family Weekend
The Middle Atlantic PGA will take part in Virginia Tech’s annual Spring Family Weekend on Saturday. MAPGA professionals will provide basic instruction and promote the “fun factor” of golf at an inflatable hitting tent on Duck Pond Field.
“The time is now for the golf industry to think alternatively about bringing golf to the masses,” said MAPGA executive director Jon Guhl, who has a long association with long-time Virginia Techgolf coach Jay Hardwick.
Also part of the day is Virginia Tech’s annual spring football game, which starts at 4 p.m. Saturday at Lane Stadium.
