The Patriots (5-2), who have played more than twice as many games as the Dragons (2-1), will be anxious to get their Colonial Athletic Association schedule underway on a positive note after losing in overtime to Liberty despite shooting 51.6 percent from the field in the second half.
These two teams also opened conference play against each other last season at Patriot Center. The Patriots won that game by 47 points — their biggest-ever margin of victory in conference play — leading to head coach Jim Larranaga remarking that his team was sensational while Dragons coach Bruiser Flint laughed it off by saying, “We were never in it.”
