I know we have a large number of NASCAR fans here in the Mid Atlantic area and there is a free contest that is being offered by DirecTV that allows the fans to have some fun and maybe win a sweet Mustang.
DIRECTV launches their “Head 2 Head Knockout” program with the FIRST-EVER bracket competition for charity brought onto the scene during a NASCAR Sprint Cup Season. The drivers compete in a weekly “NCAA Tournament” style bracket that will allow winning drivers to build up cash prizes each week, with a total of $500,000 donated to charity during the course of the program. This program will leave only the most well-rounded, consistent driver on the circuit standing in the end. 32 drivers will be chosen to compete in DIRECTV’s Head 2 Head Knockout program and they will be chosen a few different ways including;
• 12 drivers who participated in the 2009 Sprint Cup Chase and the
• First SEVEN race winners in the 2010 Sprint Cup Series
• The 13 remaining bids will be determined by a selection committee
OK that is how this works for the drivers but the fans are a big part of this contest as well. DIRECTV as Consumers participating in the bracket have a chance to win a new car and the ultimate prize, a check for $1 million dollars to the person who picks a perfect bracket. Fans can get more information now by visiting www.directv.com/nascar and can begin entering their brackets on April 11.
