Gilbert Arenas has ended up on the training table twice so far in the precious few minutes that reporters have been allowed to observe so far at Wizards training camp. Both incidents seemed minor.
Today, Arenas missed practice entirely. Head coach Flip Saunders said, “He was a little sore – leg soreness. He didn’t do anything today. He basically just stretched out, and that was it. So he’ll go tonight.”
Tonight’s scrimmage session is closed entirely to the media, so we’ll have to see how he comes out after that.
Sean Marks (hamstring) didn’t do any contact work today, but Flip said probably tomorrow.
Also making progess was Andray Blatche, who was out there for the one drill that reporters got to see today, and more appears to be in store tonight.
“Actually, today, I did everything,” said Blatche. “Tonight, we’re going to have scrimmages and I’m going to do some of the scrimmages.”
As for the coniditioning test? “Nah, I didn’t do that yet. I’m getting there. It’s been four or five months, so I’m getting there.”
