The Redskins have yet another change on their coaching staff. After firing two assistants last week, they lost linebackers coach Lou Spanos, who is leaving to become the defensive coordinator at UCLA.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan fired safeties coach Steve Jackson and receivers coach Keenan McCardell last week. He hired former Tampa Bay coach Raheem Morris to serve as the secondary coach.

Spanos spent two seasons working with the Redskins linebackers after working as an assistant linebackers coach in Pittsburgh. His presence helped the Redskins transition to a 3-4 defense.
Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett, a former NFL linebacker, has always worked closely with this group.
