No Ravens coverage in DC and no Redskins in Baltimore and no Sunday Night game at all.

OK so let’s get this straight for fans of all the teams in the mix here. The Redskins face the Lions on the road in Detroit at 1pm on FOX5 while the Ravens are at home also at 1pm hosting Oakland on WJZ-13.

If you are a Ravens fan the Washington area or a Redskins fan in the Baltimore area and you do not have access to FOX5 or WJZ-13 then you will not see your team. So bottomline Ravens fans in DC and Redskins fans in the Baltimore area you are shutout.

Unlike the Orioles and the Nationals or for that matter any other professional sport other than the NFL we are considered a shared market. That means that if there is an Orioles game or a Nationals game being played then it must be offered in both markets. Much like the San Francisco Bay area does for all their teams including the Raiders and the 49ers.

Such is not the case in the NFL and the Ravens and the Redskins both would like to see the league call the Baltimore-Washington area a shared market but for some reason they just can’t seem to get that done.

So Ravens fans listen to the game in DC on WBAL/98 Rock or Sirius Radio. While the Redskins fans can catch their team on ESPN 980AM and online at espn980.com or Sirius.

Pregame for the Redskins is on CSN and they will also have the postgame. Ravens postgame only will be on WJZ and MASN.

Double-header game is on FOX5 and 45 the Giants at Pittsburgh…

The Sunday Night Game at 8pm is Cleveland @ Jacksonville.

ESPN at 11am – EA Sports Virtual Playbook, Tom Jackson breaks down how the Steelers sack-happy linebackers – James Harrison and Lamar Woodley – will attack Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

CBS at Noon – THE NFL TODAY tries to answer the question, “Is it Dooms Day for Dallas?” as Bill Cowher breaks down the Cowboys’ offense and defense to determine what is going wrong and how they can correct it. Are they still a Super Bowl team? A playoff team? Or an also ran?

FOX at Noon – NFL on FOX analyst Daryl Johnston, grew accustomed to playing on a team loaded with big personalities and great talent. After Sunday’s blowout loss to the St. Louis Rams, Johnston believes that positive vocal leadership needs to come from one of Dallas’ many stars. “Terrell Owens needs to put a little bit more of a positive spin because he’s an emotional guy. Take that emotion and just tweak it a little bit. Don’t be on a guy when he makes a mistake because the guy who made the mistake is the last person that needs to be told that he just made a mistake.”
