Sen. John McCain’s daughter Meghan, a recent Columbia University graduate, launched her Web site, McCainBlogette.com, on Monday along with “political fashionista” La-Toria Haven and photographer Heather Brand.
In their inaugural post, the three promise to travel with McCain as much as possible — “this includes all the behind the scenes action: notoriously cramped quarters, stale donuts and the fabulous shoes!”
Late last week in New York, People magazine got a taste of Meghan’s opinions as she joined a lunch with People Editor Larry Hackett, McCain, his wife Cindy and various suits from Time Inc.
“They give you bad food,” on the campaign trail, she said. “The staff, it’s been a serious point of contention; because he’ll ask for McDonald’s and they’ll give it to him. He’s 70 years old, he can have salad. You know what I mean?”
Apart from Dad’s diet, she’s also trying to change the diet of his tour bus. “That was our big project, to green the bus,” she said. “We’re actually trying to get in touch with Willie Nelson, cause he’s like perfected the tour bus.”
