At Last The BCS Championship Game – LSU and Ohio State. XM crew is worth a listen

The BCS National Championship game will FINALLY be played tonight. I thought they were going play it in June.

 

Coverage is massive with FOX TV, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio and XM all planning full day’s coverage leading all the way up to the 8pm game time.  

 

The BCS on FOX’s lead broadcast team of Thom Brennaman, Charles Davis and Chris Myers Coverage begins at 7:30om with special guest analysts University of Florida and National Championship-winning head coach Urban Meyer and former Ohio State Buckeye and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George joining Chris Rose and Jimmy Johnson for pregame coverage live from New Orleans.

 

ESPN’s extensive coverage of bowl actionwill culminate with a special College GameDay Built by The Home Depot from
New Orleans
, site of the Allstate BCS Championship Game pitting #2 LSU vs. #1 Ohio State , Monday, Jan. 7 at 7 pm  Chris Fowler will host the one-hour show with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard.  ESPN Radio’s coverage of the game will begin at 8 p.m. with Brent Musburger, Herbstreit and reporter Lisa Salters on the call. Locally you can hear the game on Triple X ESPN in the DC area, ESPN 1300 in Baltimore and in the Bay Area it will be on KNBR680AM and also ESPN 970 for the Modesto/Stockton area.  

 

XM will have friend of the column Dave Sims doing the honors as he will call the game live on XM Sports Nation channel 144 with the pre game show at 7pm. Gary Danielson, and Ronnie “Night Train,”Lane will round out the best radio team doing the BCS CHAMPIONSHIP.

I plan on listening to Dave, Garry and Ronnie with the TV sound down. Sims and Danielson are the best broadcast team in New Orleans tonight if you have XM make sure to listen.

 

The National Championship game kicks off at 8pm.

After his interview with Mike Wallace of CBS 60 Minutes the “Rocket,” will hold a press conference today at 5pm. The conference will be carried by ESPN2, ESPNEWS and ESPN Radio. He may take questions and also it is expected that he will announce that he will be in Washington next week to talk before Congress.
