Tiger Woods is 7-for-7 when breaking 70 in the first two rounds of a major championship. Can he make it 8-for-8 with his 67-67 – 134 start in the British Open?
The big difference between this start and his others when he’s broken 70 in the first two rounds is that he trails Brandt Snedeker by four strokes. Six of the seven times Woods has broken 70 in the first two rounds of a major, he had the lead. The exception was the 2006 PGA, where there was a logjam at the top – four players tied at 136 and Woods in a group of three tied for fifth at 137.
Here are the seven events.
