Thomas was an integral part of the Patriots run to the NCAA Final Four. The 6-feet-7, 220-pound athletic forward started every game for the Patriots in his second season with the program, and averaged 11.8 points per game. He was also second on the team in rebounding, pulling down an average of 7.2 per contest.
Prior to his sophomore season, Thomas? career high in points was 12. He broke out during his sophomore season, leading GMU to a 27-8 record, including a 12-1 mark at home.
In high school, Thomas averaged 18.3 points, 12.1 rebounds and three blocked shots per game during a senior season in which he earned first-team MIAA honors, according to the George Mason athletic Web site.
Heading into his junior season, Thomas will be the Patriots top returning scorer, with seniors Tony Skinn, Lamar Butler and Jai Lew departing. Junior Folarin Campbell is the only other returning starter.
