Described on the Georgetown athletic Web site as “a student of the game,” the 2005 All-American has been earning straight-As on the lacrosse field since her freshman season.
This year, Stanwick has scored 29 goals, leading the Hoyas to an undefeated record through eight games.
Stanwick?s role as a go-to scorer within the offense has grown since her freshman year, when she scored 17 goals with a team-best 28 assists. As a sophomore, she was third in the nation with 59 goals, earning her the honor of Big East Attacker of the Year.
Stanwick is following a family path led by two All-American sisters who also played for the Hoyas. Sheehan Stanwick (2000 and 2001 First Team, and 2001 National Attacker of the Year) set the school?s single-season scoring record (115 points), with 75 goals and 40 assists in 2001. Wick Stanwick (2003 First Team) is third with 164 career goals.
Coco?s sophomore campaign featured the fourth-best points total in Georgetown history.
