Offensive player to watch: CLINTON PORTIS

The seventh-year running back rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown in a 23-17 victory at Philadelphia in a pivotal NFC East Division game. This season, Portis has rushed for 514 yards and four touchdowns on 115 carries and is a major reason why the Redskins are 4-1. Washington, which is averaging more than 21 points and 351 yards of offense per game, should have little trouble against St. Louis (0-4) this afternoon at 1 at FedEx Field.

Defensive player to watch: ANTOINE WINFIELD

The 10th-year cornerback had one of the best games ever for a defensive player in a 30-27 win over New Orleans on Monday Night Football last week. Winfield had eight solo tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, a defended pass and returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown. This season, he has 29 tackles, two sacks and an interception. The Vikings (2-3) will look for another standout performance from their leader when they host the Lions (0-4) this afternoon at 1.
