» Cal’s Heisman hopeful running back Jahvid Best entered the Oregon game averaging 7.8 yards per carry with eight touchdowns. The Ducks held Best to only 55 yards on 3.4 yards per rush in their 42-3 victory.

» Iowa beat Penn State for the seventh time in the last eight meetings.

» Ohio State recorded its second straight shutout in a 30-0 win over Illinois. It marks the first time the Buckeyes had back-to-back shutouts since 1996.
