Does anyone want to win the little bronzed stiff-arm? We’re starting to doubt it:
1. Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford » Gerhart actually helped his cause by not playing this week. His numbers (1,736 yards, 26 TDs) are impossible to overlook. He probably won’t win the Heisman, but he should.
2. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas » McCoy was terrible on Saturday, chucking three INTs and nearly mismanaging Texas out of the BCS title game. But Heisman voters have a soft spot for Colt, who should have won the award last year.
3. Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama » A week after struggling mightily against rival Auburn, Ingram torched Florida for 189 all-purpose yards and three TDs. It’ll be enough to earn him a trip to New York as a finalist, but not enough to win.
