Vance: Don t Come Around Here No More

Channel 4 anchor Jim Vance likes his city just as it is, and hopes it’ll stay that way for the foreseeable future.

At a panel Wednesday on the Washington region’s prosperity and growth, Virginia Tech’s Robert Lang said population growth patterns in the greater Washington region would soon push the region’s borders as far north as Baltimore and as far south as Richmond.

Vance, the panel’s moderator, shot back: “I don’t want to have to deal with ’Bamas from Baltimore and hicks from Richmond.”
