Stevens goes after rats

In perusing the earmarks contained in the Senate’s omnibus appropriations bill, a Yeas & Nays source couldn’t help but notice one placed by Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska.

The seven-term senator set aside $113,000 for “rodent control” in Alaska.

Stevens, we should point out, is currently under investigation by the FBI — the bureau raided his Alaska home this summer. Which leads us to wonder whether, like Tony Soprano, Stevens is looking to root out the rats in his midst.
