Three-time major champion and Hall of Famer Billy Casper will appear at the First Tee of Prince Williams County annual benefit tournament, Friday, July 15, at Forest Greens Golf Club in Dumfries.
Casper, winner of 51 PGA Tour events and head of Vienna-based Billy Casper Golf, will appear from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. He will kick off the event with opening remarks and be available for playing tips, autographs, pictures, and lunch.
“Coming to the D.C. area brings back many fond memories from my playing days,” Casper said in a release. “I enjoy sharing tales and tips with golfers who are ensuring junior players get to share in our love for this great game.”
The tournament is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $100 per person or $375 for a four-player team and aids First Tee, which provides learning facilities and educational programs, promoting character development and life values through golf. More than 10,000 children in Prince William County Schools have participated in the program.
