Hard to pick out winners and losers based off a one-hour practice without full pads. But here we go anyway.
Studs
RT Mike Williams » We’ve picked on Williams a bit as he shakes off the rust. And, really, there wasn’t a lot to go on today. But he did stone rookie DE Jeremy Jarmon on a pass play.
QB Colt Brennan » See above. We’re just talking one play here, but on the same play Williams stopped Jarmon, he connected with receiver Trent Shelton.
Duds
WR Roydell Williams » The guy had surgery today on his left pinky finger. That’s never good when you’re fighting for the fifth spot — and you missed all of last year while recovering from an ankle injury.
WR Devin Thomas » He’s missed a deep ball in each of the past two practices. He’s improved his route-running; he’s more professional. We know all that. But to make this offense go he must hang onto those passes.
