Ravens have the Baltimore media seeing purple

Baltimore, Maryland
Today’s game seen at 4:30pm on WJZ –TV 13 (WUSA-TV 9 in DC)
Radio wise Steve Davis and Keith Mills along with their usual cast of thousands will be doing the pre game show starting at noon on WBAL/98Rock. The voice of the Ravens Radio Network Gerry Sandusky will be joined in Nashville by his broadcast partners Rob Burnett and Stan White for all the game action. Then Davis and Mills will return for all the postgame conversation.
In Baltimore this has been a long week with everyone from the anchors to the weathercasters, to the feature reporters figuring out how to fit another Ravens story into their newscasts. It has not left much for the sports directors to talk about.
It is like a “purple haze” has come over the entire city.
All four of the sports radio stations have not suffered from a lack of callers. Starting early in the morning when Drew Forester starts the day on WNST- 1570AM (who has three busses of fans in Nashville) to Steve Davis who patrols the nigh shift on WBAL 1090AM every aspect of the game has been analyzed.
The Fan 105.7FM and Fox Sports radio 1370AM has not been left out of the fun. Charm City callers can’t get enough of their Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens will face the Titans today in Tennessee and there isn’t a media outlet in town that isn’t wearing some kind of purple.
All of the Baltimore TV stations will have special postgame coverage on their evening newscasts starting with FOX45 at Ten then followed by ABC2, WBAL and WJZ as no one will be left out of the playoff coverage.
Regional cable wise MASN will be ready to go after the game with Ravens Xtra as always Amber Theoharis, Tom Davis and Wally Williams will be on hand for instant postgame information. They have done a super job all season covering the team.
CSN won’t be left out as they will have Brent Harris live from Nashville with postgame – including press conferences, one-on-one interviews, analysis, fan reaction and more – during SportsNite at 10 p.m. following the Capitals vs. Bruins game live on the network.
If the Ravens win they will either travel to Pittsburgh or San Diego so we are in for at least another week of purple haze and media along with the fans hope that it does not lift until the end of the month say with a trip to Tampa and the Super Bowl.
