ate Donovan is no stranger to the lights, camera and action of Hollywood. But in Iowa this week, the “O.C.” star played a different role in the process. Donovan has partnered up with documentary filmmaker Amy Rice on her new film, which features Sen. Barack Obama. Rice is following the senator on the trail and Donovan joined the fray just in time for the action. A 2006 notice from the Hampton Film Fest reported that Rice is “embarking on a political documentary that will be shot over the next seven years.”Yeas & Nays hears that on caucus Thursday, Donovan was filming in Obama’s campaign office for a segment of the documentary that he will produce. The documentary is not due out until well after the presidential race is decided, but following Obama’s big Iowa win Thursday, it’s sure to be anticipated by many.
