Garceau and Marks have a winning act

Led by the #1 in afternoon drive, show in Baltimore among 25-54 males with the popular “combo” of Scott Garceau and Anita Marks.  The CBS Radio sports talker has mad a huge mark in the latest rating.

The Baltimore radio ratings have just been released, and 105.7 FM is a major success, and has achieved its highest ratings since Howard Stern left the station.
In the important demographic of Men 25-54, which is the most sought after by sports talk stations and frankly talk stations in general they did very well logging in a 6.1 share and are ranked #3 overall.
There are sparks between Marks and Garceau making the show so entertaining because there are two very dedicated camps.
Those who follow Marks and feel that she is right while others follow Garceau and feel he knows what he is talking about. Together they are a very entertaining combo that have been gold for MASN and 105.7FM
The MASN audience can see that  this the is the perfect storm and while the two get along both on and off the air.
It often looks like a good old fashioned father – daughter battle with Garceau’s old school feelings vs. Marks more new age thinking.
Whatever the dynamic it clearly works.
This should give Washington radio stations an idea that you don’t have to just have a men’s show to make a successful program.
